ISLAMABAD – Federal Finance and Revenue Minister Miftah Ismail on Friday hailed Turkish investments in various fields in Pakistan and assured his full cooperation in this regard.
The minister expressed these views during a meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Dr. Mehmet Pacaci, who called him here, according to a press release issued by the Ministry of Finance. The meeting was also attended by CEO Hayat Kimya Pakistan, Fatih Ustunel, CFO Hayat Kimya Pakistan, Onur Kilic, FBR Chairman and other senior executives.
They exchanged views on the long-standing religious, cultural, political, economic and social ties between Pakistan and Turkey. The Minister of Finance also highlighted potential future areas for strengthening relations, particularly on the business and investment fronts.
Miftah informed the Ambassador that the current government of Pakistan is undertaking multiple structural reforms to facilitate foreign investment in Pakistan. On this occasion, Dr. Mehmet Pacaci shared that the Republic of Turkey has strong bilateral relations with Pakistan on various fronts. Recalling the Prime Minister’s visit to Turkey and his meeting with Turkish investors, the Ambassador briefed the Finance Minister on the expansion of Turkish investments in various sectors in Pakistan.
